Sandra boasts a rich 30-year career in mental health, having occupied leadership roles at a Black mental health charity in South London and the East London Foundation NHS Trust, where she focused on addressing mental health inequalities within Black communities. From 2012 to 2019, Sandra served as the Midlands Regional and BAME National Coordinator for Time to Change, a national campaign combatting mental health stigma and discrimination.
As the Co-founder and Business and Partnership Development Manager at Catalyst for Change, a West Midlands African and Caribbean mental health hub, Sandra is pivotal in this umbrella organisation that offers capacity-building support to Black-led mental health organisations throughout the Midlands. In 2018, she established The Red Earth Collective, a mental health arts organisation dedicated to leveraging the arts to challenge mental health stigma and support the well-being of racialized and marginalized groups.
Currently, Sandra serves as an Associate Producer at the Midlands Arts Centre in Birmingham.
